Curriculum

Along with the obvious Martial Arts & Self-Defense aspect of our program we also put great emphasis on physical and mental fitness. Most people want more out of a Martial Arts or Self Defense program than just to learn self-defense,
they also want to achieve physical and mental goals such as get in shape, reduce stress, build confidence, improve
self-control and self-awareness, etc. There are countless benefits to joining our program and no matter what your
personal goals are we are confident that our program will provide you a safe, fun environment to achieve them.

It is important to note that ALL competition fighting has rules and in reality there are no rules in fighting. The sport
aspect of activities such as sport Taekwon-Do (WTF), Karate and activities such as "mixed martial arts" and fight
clubs is fun and a great way to test "some" of your skills but our focus is, and always will be based on the well being
of our students. Our students train with a "no rules" mindset. Sure we can punch, kick and submit but survival is the ultimate goal. That being said, we dont train to compete, we train to survive.

The foundation of our training is based upon the Military Martial Art of ITF Taekwon-Do but it certainly doesn't stop
there. We believe strongly that our training curriculum must consist of practical techniques and training methods that
will truly help you in a real world situation. The Self-Defense portion of our curriculum is based heavily on defensive
tactics systems developed by and for the military, law enforcement, department of corrections, and reality based

As mentioned earlier ITF Taekwon-Do is the foundation of our Martial Arts & Self Defense program. ITF Taekwon-Do
is the original, "True Taekwon-Do" as developed by the late General Choi Hong Hi of the South Korean Army. Please
don't confuse ITF Taekwon-Do with Sport Taekwon-Do. We do practice lite contact sparring, which you could consider
a sport, but the true intent of ITF Taekwon-Do is to develop the physical and mental health needed to overcome challenges, build confidence and .

Promotion in rank requires the student to become proficient with a number of techniques including patterns, grappling, hand and foot techniques, sparring and other aspects of Martial Arts & Fitness.
